The process of ranking universities is complex and involves multiple steps to ensure accuracy and integrity. Before the rankings are published, a series of back-end and internal processes are carried out, and some of the key processes involved are; Data Collection, Data Validation-and-Verification, Indicator Weighting, Calculation of Scores, Quality Control, followed by the Ranking-Publication. While rankings can be a useful tool for assessing and comparing universities, it is important to recognize the limitations and use them in conjunction with other sources of information.
